Very Minor Genny Improvement

VERY minor, very useful.

Same as 5er we had, generator had a super-short (maybe 4") hose for the oil drain. Not a problem with the 5er to use a 26-28" length of 1" PVC pipe to run oil into the drain pan because there was a little "shelf" there to store the PVC. Vista didn't come with any such luxury.

Just happened to have size needed 7/16" ID rubber hose in the barn from broken tank sprayer. Wasn't easy pushing it on the barb connector but with a little silicone spray and muscle got it on. Fit so tight no hose clamp needed. Cut it off so it's just long enough to stick 3" into a gallon milk jug. Not a drop of oil spills and the outside of jug stays nice and clean for easy transport to the waste oil tank in town.

Works real good (little self-satisfaction pat on the back)!

Sounds good!
Look, learn, and adapt as needed! Too many people expecting to use the easy "standard" answers.
