Understanding disconnects in the Vista

Over the weekend we went and parked at a friends house at the beach near Santa Cruz. It was a great weekend, but a bit cloudy, and chilly. As such, the last night the heater ran the batteries out, and we couldn't start the generator nor get the bed above the drivers to go up. So, start the coach, and it starts to charge, able to pull the slide in, and retract the jacks. The generator starts, and we think, yea! But the overhead loft bed wouldn't go up. Just completely dead. Checked all of the connections, breakers, etc. About to call Coachnet for some advice, when I turned off the ignition/engine, and magically, the loft bed works.

Of course it won't activate when the engine is on. Safety so that it doesn't come down on your head while driving. The front shade has a similar stop, it works, but only for about 18 inches.

So, get to know what works and doesn't work when each system on your RV is engaged.

And it wasn't in the manual that we could find.

Ran into the same issue a while back, it would be nice if they put it in the owners book.
