Tour 42QD - Thetford Macerator Toilet

Hey everyone -

2014 Winnebago Tour 42QD

my wife accidentally flushed 2 lysol wipes down the toilet. A couple of YouTube videos later, I knew they plugged the macerator in the toilet. Confidence gained in the videos, I took it apart. Really not too bad of a job. Took out the offending wipes and reassembled.

Now when it tries to flush, it is not getting a clean vacuum so I would not want to take a chance with solids. I can order a new pump for $307 on Amazon but want opinions here.

1) Can take apart and reassemble - make sure everything is airtight. I noticed a couple of valve like apparatus in the connecting pipes....perhaps they are bad?
2) Is this a sign that the wipes may have permanently damaged the pump mechanism and I should just get a new one?

If you think I should order a new one, I think there is just one model out there but no official part number on the pump or in my Winnebago paperwork. Any ideas if there are multiple pump systems by Thetford that Winnebago used?

Thank you!
Lyle

Lyle... is it a Aria Deluxe II or a Techma? We have a Techma in our Adventurer. So, I know Winnebago uses those.

I don't know the answer to your question, but wanted to narrow down the responses.

You may need to post your question on IRV2 as well. there are many more "Macerator toilet" threads over there.

Good question. It is definitely a Tecma and per their website, they only have one RV 12 volt model.

Maybe some help in the parts catalog here:
https://catalog3d.winnebagoind.com/menu/Parts.htm

Drilling down a bit further to the drain portion:
https://catalog3d.winnebagoind.com/2013/179907.htm

We get a view of the various parts like the stool and a list of parts at the right side. If you should want to go down further to individual items on the stool, go to the itemized parts list.
This should get you some part number sand vendors, so that you may find them online at better prices than the normal RV shop?
