Tour 42QD Safe/File Cabinet

Trying to get ideas where to mount a fireproof file cabinet in the unit. The only place that I see that is large enough is the two wardrobe closets. wondering if anyone has made any other modifications. This would be for the fireproof 8*11 file size.

before we traded our 42qd. I had pondered ways to use the space in the corner behind the shower and beside the sink. The area is more than large enough access would be the issue

I thought the same, but you are right access would be a problem unless you could build some type of sliding shelf for it. it would be just odd over the sink area.

the other oddball place would be under the kitchen sink area. no good location exception bedroom closet.

on the new models they have a small safe behind the front tv only about maybe 1 1/2 inch depth. not much room for anything at all.

Would you want the file box over the motor compartment?

We have ours in the basement. I would think the upper area would be the hottest and longest burning area. At least that is what I am hoping for if it ever happens.

what if you cut a little access panel in the space under the bed? I believe there is room between the two breaker boxes...It sure seemed like there was a lot of wasted space under the bed...

I looked there, between the gears and the wiring just to much to play with. plus I am getting to old to lay down on the floor all the time. probably will be the larger closet.

Why not in one of the outside compartments? I assume you do not access it on a daily basis.
