We've had some Santa Ana winds here lately and my utility door for electric and dump was getting blown open and shut, making a lot of racket. For now I attached a bungie cord to the door with a screw, hooking to the latch U bolt to keep tension shut, when the cord and hose exits the compartment.
I don't know what Winnebago was thinking when they designed the plumbing/electrical compartment on the Vista with a slide open door in the bottom to run the electrical cord out. That cord is way too stiff to feed the cord through that opening, too much hassle IMO. There way better methods to bring the cord out, but Winnebago designed theirs to be difficult, which I'll never utilize as a result.
Like others here, I'm eventually going to install a Marinco connector on the side of the RV for 50Amp input, and detach the cord each time. Until then I'll be using this bungie kludge to keep the doors from swinging around in the wind when parked.
