Speaker replacement

Just wondering if anyone changed out the speakers on your Vista.I'm referring to the ones in the cab area in the top corners above the bunk. Was it hard to do and what did you replace them with. I have the 2018 vista 29ve. Thanks

I did. I have a 2019 Vista 29VE and I removed the small $10 factory speakers and installed a pair of Polk Audio Signature Series S10 Bookshelf Speakers. Mounted them on the shelf. They fit well and can be slightly angled down so that you can actually hear them when going down the road. I used a couple of VideoSecu Speaker Wall Ceiling Mount Brackets. It was a little tough getting in behind them but I did not want them falling out. Seams to work well. These are nice sounding speakers for their size. I can take some pic and post if you are still interested.

Yes it would be nice to see some photos of the job you did with the speakers. Thanks

There are 3 pictures attached. The first one is the access to the old speaker. You can remove that panel to get to the old speaker. I removed the speaker and spliced in a new wire to run to the new speaker. While I was working there I also added a USB power socket. Speaker is mounted on the shelf that is above the windshield. The third picture might be a little hard to see but it is the mount hanging down from long bolts. I did the same thing on the passenger side, except no USB socket on that side.
I hope this helps.

Argh! Why do some programs rotate the images. FYI first image is sideways, second and third are upside down.

I have a 2019 29VE and replaced the speakers with a pair of KICKER - CS Series 5-1/4" 2-Way Car Speakers with Polypropylene Cones. I purchased these from Best Buy for &80. They are a direct fit replacement - entire job takes 5 minutes to replace both speakers. The improvement in sound quality was significant. Here is a link to them on Best Buy https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-...?skuId=6333350
