Sound system in Journey

I have a Journey 36M with four ceiling speakers and a subwoofer. The subwoofer is located under the passenger side sofa and doesn't seem to put out enough bass sound. I don't have an amplifier, just the bluray player. Is there some way to adjust the sound to get more low end?

Our bluray drives the speakers and there is some adjustment we can do with is but I'm not that impressed with the modes as far as a dramatic change I can hear. It's good enough. We have the Bose speakers.

Blue Yonder, The blu-ray player is a Home Theater system and it drives the speakers.
There is a menu in the blu-ray player setup to adjust the speakers.
If you are watching TV the blu-ray must be on Aux input to send the audio to the surround sound speakers.

If my memory serves me right, I think they downsized the woofers in the newer 36Ms. Mine is about 12 in wide, 11 in deep and 6 in high.

We just got a 2014 34B and I felt the same way with the subwoofer (mine is a 6x9 car speaker). You can increase the subwoofer output to max (buried in the sony home screen menu) but it is still terrible. I am looking at replacing it with a real subwoofer.

We would be very interested in finding out how your experiment works. Will you use a powered or non-powered sub?

Not sure yet, probably try non amplified first as its the cheapest and easiest to setup. This is a low priority at this point. I got other things I need to address with this new purchase.
