Slide Movement Question - 2015 Forza 34T

2015 Fotza 34T - passenger side slide dips about 1 inch vertically right as soon as it begins to exits the coach and at the same spot when it returns in. I have never seen a slide move vertically. Anyone else experience this? Other than that up and down movement, it operates fine. I don't think this is normal and want to fix this before it becomes a bigger issue. TIA

I absolutely don't know if this applies to your motorhome, but my under floor slide in the living room (it's opposite the full wall slide) is designed to move out and down while deploying. Then when it come back in it rises an inch or more as it clears the floor and settles about 1/2" or more above the living room floor.

The rails that the slide moves on have a dip built into them so the slide follows that dip down on extraction and up on retraction every time the slide is activated.

But as I said, I don't know if yours does something similar or not. Is the RV new to you? Is this motion something that just started or don't you know.

Yes, the RV is new to me. I'm hoping someone with the same model has some insight. Thank you for your response.

My old girl Chieftain 36w drops the living slide near the end of travel going out, and of course pulls itself up as soon as you start retracting. This is only my second rv, but my similar sized and same chassis Damon did not do this. Amongst many differences, this Winnie brings the basement compartments out with the slide, and I assumed this had something to do with it. The other related difference is the Winnie is hydraulic, while the Damon was electric (slide mechanisms that is). Don't know if any of this relates to OP's Forza.

2016 Forza 34 T . No movement in my slides . Maybe it's rolling over something underneath kitchen . Drawers are removable to check rollers. I can shine a handheld spotlight under there and see everything that rounded there .

I have a 2017 Forza 34t. My passenger side slide out would rise and fall as it deployed. Turned out to be a clothes pin that fell under the sink and the slide would roll over it. It definitely is not normal. I found that and removed the issue, but later I ended up having to have the slide pulled out a reinstalled. Can’t say the issues were related, but I can’t say they weren’t.

Smile Helpful suggestion

Hi, We own a 2018 FORZA 34T and have been taking it to the Winnebago factory service center in Forest City, Iowa every year for maintenance and upgrades. Wonderful people and we're very pleased with our experiences with them. We have been full timers now since 2005.

We suggest calling there for answers to your RV questions
Their telephone number is 866-311-7133

Hope this info helps.

I also have a 2017 Forza 34T. I am curious as to why a slide had to be pulled out and reinstalled. Was it the passenger side? Tell us more about that.

Well, here is the story: I bought it from the original owner knowing that the rear of the passenger side slide would only close to about 1 inch from the seal. (Defect was reflected in the price) The original owner said he had taken the coach back to Camping World where he bought it, but they said it couldn't be fixed and not to worry about it.

In the first two years we owned it, the front motor for that slide failed and was replaced. We also had the clothes pin issue I described earlier which didn't seem to have any long term effects. Finally while on a long summer trip the slide failed partially opened. Took it to an independent repair shop and they got it closed but couldn't do more.

We just made due for the rest of the trip and then took it NIRC center near our house. They used a fork lift to pull the slide and replaced the rear tracks and rear motor. They said the tracks were bent. How they could not say. Clearly could have been addressed while under warranty, but there ya go.

Slide out has worked perfectly since with both sides sealed shut when closed.

When we first got our 34T the passenger side was slow and motor was replaced by Camper World , Then other motor . Went to Winnebago rally and had service at Lichtsinn. They replaced both motors since Camping World installed WRONG motors have had no problems since . Glad I found mobile guy now .
