Slide Lock Failure

I own a 2012 Itaska 37F. It has 3 slides. One slide is nearly the entire drivers side. It has two electronic slide locks. Recently, the locks drive motor screw shafts both snapped. Prior to finding them snapped, the slide hung up while moving out, with a load pop. I moved the slide in and then it moved out normally. When moved back in, the locks failed to function and their motors ran continuously. Any idea as to the cause? I'm thinking a limit switch failed and allowed the locks to extend, while the slide was out.
