Slide issue on 2009 Vectra

we bought a 2009 vectra in May and have been out a couple times. A few trips ago the passenger slide started acting up and would retract intermittently. Jacks work, the other slide works fine . Just the passenger retraction. Reading this almost sounds like a Shuttle Valve issue?

Hi Scrappy RVer,
I took a look at your Owner's Manual, and starting on the bottom of page 10-4 it seems like another possible fault would be the electronic controller. Hopefully somebody with a similar issue can relay their experience to help you better.
Welcome to the forum.

I can hear the motor running when I hit retract. Not sure if that would matter ?

Well, perhaps the valve is bad, or the controller is not sending the correct signal to the valve, or perhaps it is a safety feature if the two sides are no longer synchronized. Mine is so different, I am just guessing.
Many folks read these forums in the morning hours, so hopefully we will get some good advice then.

it is hydraulic . Spoke to someone local and they think it’s the retract solenoid

Assuming it's an HWH slide, your best bet is to contact Paul Maddox, aka azpete. Paul Maddox is an HWH employee and Winnieowner who has helped out many of us with HWH issues.

Before you get too far into this, I suggest you contact him. He's published his direct email address and phone number both on Winnieowners and IRV2.com, so don't be bashful: (602-549-3638) and direct email address, [email protected]

Thank you ! I sent him a email. It was a day of triumph and disapointment. Replaced the retract solenoid for it to retract twice… then nope
