Slide & air dump 2005 36G Journey
In our 2005 Journey 36G when I extend the bedroom(wardrobe) slide 75% of the time it dumps my air ride bags. And occasionally when I retract it does this but not often. I have read the manual, searched on this and other forums but no help.
Has anybody else had this problem? Is there an answer? it doesn't cause me any grief but sometimes I don't want the air to dump.
Thanks, Bob

I'm sure that that can't be the way it should operate.
I'd be taking a close look at the slide drive to make sure , that it's not snagging a wiring harness somewhere in it's travel , and causing wires to cross; and powering the dump solenoid.
What chassis is your coach built on?

Have you called HWH yet? There are all kinds of diagnostic LED's on the control board, but you need to know what youre looking at

Haven't tried HWH yet or Winnebago. Thought with the vast amount of experience on this site somebody would have run in to it. Like I said it isn't causing me any grief but just bugs
Me some days.

Do I understand correctly that you are extending/retracting your bedroom slide without dumping your air? You should be able to move it without dumping your air bags? Have you actually witnessed this while someone else operated the slide? How many air bags deflate?
The only place your HWH links to your FL air is at the leveler control panel. After it dumps, how long does it take to come back to ride height?
This sounds like one for 1.800.FTL.HELP. Have your v.i.n. ready and if you don't get through, leave a message. They pride themselves on 100% call back.
Keep us posted.

Winne will likely know nothing.. Call HWH and see what they say. As mentioned, that control board has some pretty good diagnostic LEDs on it, but never having heard of this problem couldn't begin to tell you what conditions to look for

Bob,
You also might try Customer Support: 888.396.6501 for NeWay. They might have some ideas. Again, have your vin handy. In truth, it sounds like a warning to a bigger problem in the making in my opinion.
Just a side thought. When was the last time you had the air dryer serviced?

Thanks for all the input. It has done it for 3 years or as long as I have had the coach. It is not everytime but sometimes we just want to move the slide in order to access something in the wardrobe. It dumps all the way and all airbags just as if I used the dump button on the leveller panel. I will contact some of the service names I have been given and if I find an answer I will report back.
Thanks, Bob

I have the same coach and my rear bags don't dump all the way when I push the button to level. But I never have had it dump when I put out the rear slide.
