Sightseer 30 mpg

We have a navion 24g now and about to pull the trigger on Winnebago sightseer 30A. Does anyone have experience on what I can expect for mpg? Also can anyone tell me how well they handle and if there are any issues I need to be aware of. We are taking a trip to Alaska this Spring and want to be sure we are making a good choice.
Thanks in advance.

I had a 2007 Sightseer 30B which got 7.5 mpg. It was a wonderful RV which gave little to no problems. Handling was just fine. Once I parked it on frozen ground with several inches of snow. When I tried to move it would not budge, with one set of the duals spinning. I mention this since you said something about Alaska. With the engine up front, and without positive traction, this could be an issue if unaware.

It was traded in for a DP which gives a smoother quieter ride. This is sort of like always wanting a bigger telescope

We owned a 2005 30 ft Sightseer for 8 years, and got 6 1/2 to 7 mpg. Overall it was a good coach, the F53 chassis however is not known for great handling, but you can improve it some with add ons. Good luck.

Best guess would be. You will get less MPG then you get with your present RV.
Whatever that is.

We have a 2005 Itasca Sunova This is the same MH as the sightseer and we get 9.03 MPG going the 1485 miles to Yuma AZ. Coming home we get 8.3 MPG. Yes this is USA gallons. We now have 50,000 miles on it and this varies very little. We have had this MH since new.

We had a 2003 Brave 32 and a Sunstar 33C. we drive between 60 mph and 65 mph. we get 5.5mpg to 6.2mpg.
We now have a Bounder 35K and get 5.7 to 6 mpg. his is US gallons.
I don't seem to be able to do as good as some of the guys.

We have a 2003 30B and it has been great. Around 7+ mpg (no toad). Needed new tires this year and new Bilstein shocks last year. Since the updates it rides much nicer. I've heard it's best to bring some basic replacement parts when going to AK.

33c Sightseer

We have a Sightseer 33C. Just finished a 3500 mile trip towing a 5000 lb minivan on a dolly and go an overall gas mileage of 6.5. I was surprised and pleased when I weighed the coach after loading it for the trip and it was 2000 lbs below max weight. We really love the coach. Its been great for us as a full time rig. Its just me, the wife and a 60 lb dog.
