Red face Sentry Safe combination - 2010 Adventurer

We recently purchased a 2010 Winnebago Adventurer 35P that has a Sentry Safe in the cabinet under the LR TV. We finally got the combination from the previous owners but have been unable to unlock it.

I'm hoping someone here has one and can tell me if there is a special way to enter the 4 digit combination. I was told that I had to use an asterisk after the 4 digits, which I did, but I cannot open it.

Thanks for any help you can give us newbies!

Do you have a key to unlock it? If so you can reprogram the combination. That's what I did with mine. It has to be done from inside the safe.

Batteries good? You can change the batteries from the outside.

Sentrysafe.com has a Lost Combination click button on their website.

Be Safe!

Thanks for that info! I looked but I can't find the battery access. The safe is bolted in the cabinet. I only have access to the front.

Thanks Dave! I'll go there. I have to figure out how to identify the safe first.

Oh the joys of buying a used RV!

Solved!

Thanks to all who replied. After searching SentrySafe.com I found the model of our safe and learned that I needed to end the combination with a pound sign # rather than an asterisk * as instructed. I have opened the safe and can now change the batteries and the combination! Happy girl here.

Great news. Glad you have it opened. Know your pain, safe at home dosen't need the # sign, ours in the motor home does.
