Are all jacks in firm contact with the ground? We level by dumping air, then extending the low side jacks first, then dropping the opposite side jacks to engage the ground.

At one point, we had an issue with one jack not extending fully. Fixed that.

Also, a few months (and several thousand miles) after she became ours, I was crawling around underneath and found that the driver's side front jack mounting plate was missing two of four 1/2in bolts. The other two had the nylon part of the nylock nuts just barely on the threads. Easy to swing the jack assy by hand. Really surprized that didn't fail. (N0, now that you bring it up. I do not crawl around under there while she is up on jacks)

I think you'll still get some rocking. It's not like you're sitting on a foundation. That's why some manufacturers have gone to those fold out steps that the far end sits on the ground. You don't have a lever sticking out that people step on causing the unit to rock.

You get used to it. I don't even notice it.

Paul, do you just let the coach "auto level?" If so, it may not really stabilize it. In my previous MH after auto level I went into manual mode and just bumped up each side. I used a level on the floor next to the driver set. The extra bump may give you more stability.

I still use a level on the floor next to the driver seat and will manually adjust after auto level if I need to.

Every time I see this thread I think about the old bumper sticker that ends with the word knocking.

our 2003 31' Minnie had this issue when we took it out our first time. There were no stabilizer jacks, I think that is something that is more recent for the Class C's. I got two scissor jacks mounted to the back frame and two pyramid style jacks for the front that I'll slide under the frame to snug up to help.

We are taking it out this weekend to see if that fixes the problem for us. Our local RV repair guy says it should help a lot. I will report back on Monday.

OK, we tried it out this weekend with the stabilizer jacks. I think it made some difference but not a great amount. I am not sure how much to tighten them up so maybe I didn't tighten them enough. So the jury is still out for me on them.

Any thoughts?

We went out this weekend and tried some slide supports, couldn’t tell any difference and tell you the truth I was kinda scared to use them on the slides but we tried them and still had the rocking. Guess I will have to get use to it. (Camco slideout support) I will be sending those back and use that money towards a campsites.

I think the key is figuring out where the rocking is from. I am going out again this weekend and am going to try a few other things. I will report back
