replacing shower in 2013 Viata

We purchased a used 2013 Vista 26 HE last year. It’s in great shape but the shower has a couple of unsightly cracks. I am curious if anyone has replaced the shower pan and walls? Where did you find a replacement....,cost and degree of difficulty?

Thanks
Bruce

There are a number of posts about this issue but not necessarily regarding your year/model. Use the Google search box at the top of the page and search for "shower replacement", "shower surround replacement", etc.

Winnebago can likely supply a replacement but I saw one post that mentioned a $1,200 cost. I'd call them first. A direct replacement from Winnebago shouldn't be too challenging to install since you wouldn't be re-configuring the plumbing. It might be worth the extra cost in ease of installation. You can also probably just buy the wall unit if your floor pan is in good shape.

Another, less expensive, alternative would be to check out aftermarket products like these:

Or even residential products that may fit, although getting them into place may be problematical.

I'm not sure about the extent of your damage.

My shower pan developed a semi-circular crack near the drain about 5 years ago. I called the factory, they said the would use epoxy to fix it. I found a JB Weld, Plastic Repair Epoxy that would work on the ABS plastic pan. I fashioned a backing plate to go under the pan, and carefully widened the crack a bit with a Dremel. Then used the epoxy putty to glue the backing plate to the bottom of the pan, and fill the crack above, with a slight raised bump. It cured as an off white, but with careful shaping, it looks ok.

It is still holding and looks good.
