Replacing in dash stereo in 2005 Sightseer

Hi All,
New to forum and new to RVing. We have a 2005 Winnebago Sightseer and we are replacing the stock radio with a Kenwood DPX501BT. The hole in the dash was too small but we were able to use a dremel to make the hole bigger. My issue is with the wiring in the back. The plug that is connecting to the RV does not match the plug needed to plug into the back of the radio. I spoke to Crutchfield and the guy there said to just cut the plug and connect the wires by color. That would seem easy enough except the colors don't all match. I was hoping to get some sort of adaptor that I could plug into the plug from the RV and then plug this into the back of the Kenwood. Does anyone know if that exists? I will post a picture, hopefully that will be helpful. Thanks in advance!!

The harness at the top is the one that came with the Kenwood, the harness at the bottom is what is coming out of the RV dash.

Coastsider, see if there is anything in the attached manual. It is for the RV radio that was in our 03 Journey. There are some wiring diagrams.

grtharris - Thanks for the info. The harness that was on the stock radio is the M9900A in the PDF you sent.

John Hilley - The stock radio model is a Magnadyne M9999-2

I think what I am not understanding is how we can splice the wires together when the colors don't line up? The wires that are coming from the RV dash do not match the all the wires in the new Kenwood radio harness. Ideally I would want to find an adaptor that would allow me to plug into the current harness and then fits into the new radio, but maybe this does not exists? And if we have to splice the wires together how do we match them up when not all the colors match up?

Thanks again for any help, I really appreciate it!!

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give you an update. I spoke to Magnadyne and they emailed me a diagram of what their old wires translate into the into wiring colors for easy splicing. Super easy to follow so I think we should be all set now. Thanks again for everyone's help!

I had that same magnadyne radio which was junk. I did not cut the plug off of the motor home I cut the matching plug off the radio and spliced it onto the wires for the new radio that way I was able to solder and heat shrink the wires at home on my work bench
