Removing Doghouse motor cover

I am trying to explain to my floor installer how to remove the doghouse engine cover on my 2002 Brave 26P. Since I am not in the area could anyone describe it for me. Evidently instructions are not in the owners manual. Is the tool a 5/8" long handled allen wrench?
Thank You,

Insert allen wrench down thru hole at the center line rear about 2 to 3 inches in from rear of dog house. Turn it 90 degs. hole is Hard to see due to carpet pile.

sometimes if cover has never been removed he will also find a phillips screw on each side near edge front of doghouse to the firewall . these two are not always replaced.

hope this helps

Ditto. The same for most Class A Gasoline Powered Winnebagos from the 1990's on.

For the 2002 Brave the instructions are in Section 9 Page 4 of the owners manual however I believe that they only made the 26P in 2000 and 2001 but the instructions are still the same.

On the Brave there may be some wingnuts underneath the sliding beverage tray that may have to be removed first.

Have tried a dozen different allen wrenches and none seem to be able to "catch" and turn the latch. Not sure what it takes to remove the doghouse as I could not figure it out, and the dealership failed to open it as well.
