This should be an easy one. I want to update the headboard on the bed. Any secrets to getting it off the wall? I did a quick look and seems like there is something in the middle holding it. Sounded like Velcro but I didn't want to pull too hard and break the board.
My wife removed the headboard in our Journey a couple of years ago. She doesn't remember specifically but she thinks there were screws behind buttons or under the ribbon.

I did that this winter. There were screws in the pleats of the material. I made this one to put back. I also put a new back wall up to hide the mirrors.
The wife and I are trying to remember how the one on our 2004 Meridian came off. When we purchased our coach new in 2004 we liked the look of the headboard in the new Horizons much better so as part of the deal we had a new Horizon headboard included. Just so the service department didn't mess up up somthing around the bed we agreed to install it oursevelves. Didn't seem like there was anything difficult about removing the original headboard. The velco strips sure seem to ring a bell.
Would love to hear about and see the tile work. We are "updating" our coach a little at a time. We have replaced the TV's, new furniture, new blinds and have recovered the valances. She was pretty intrigued with the head board recover so may tackle that soon.
Phil - Wow you have tackled a lot of upgrades. We've only had ours a couple of years and we are working our way down the list. I did just replace the gold cabinet pulls with some nice Satin Nickle ones, at last count there are 50+ handles in the coach. Knuckle Pull - 96mm - Satin Nickel L-P84300-SN-C
For the back splash we just got some glass tile squares from Lowes and a roll of Bondera which is basically mortar in a roll. It's interesting to work with that's for sure. Finished it off with some pre-mixed grout. I did the same in the bathroom but used the long layered glass tiles which was much harder to work with. Looks really nice but requires a lot of cutting of tiles.
Front TV is next. Took out the bedroom TV and will just leave a nice cubby hole.
