Rear D.O.T. Lights

Just bought my 2004 Vectra 40WD. My rear DOT lights and tag lights are inop ! Tail, break, turn and third break light all work great. My docking lights don’t work either. Any ideas. First time “Newbee” bit mechanical inclined. Any help would be very appreciated.

Docking lights... with the engine running they should work (via the console switch) only when either the park brake is set OR the brake is off and the transmission is in Reverse. Safety feature - the intent is you can't turn them on when they might be mistaken for headlights by a driver behind you. So if you are in Reverse and they are not coming on when you turn them on with the console switch, something is wrong. If you are parked and disengage the Park Brake, it is proper that they are turning off as you might be going forward.

There are separate fuses for the marker lights in the fuse bay, which is the first outside bay under the driver. You might want to check them out.
