Please let me know if there is a better place to post this. I'm with a non-profit and we are looking for a dealer to purchase a commercial shell. That would be based on the 2019 38 foot Ford chassis with dual slideouts. That's a Class A chassis. We have a contact inside Winnebago commercial for details and specs and retail pricing, but they say we need a dealer to make the transaction and get discounts. We are based in Dallas, TX, but we can choose a dealer anywhere in the country.
So does it make sense to purchase from farther afield to get a better price? Are there known good dealers that focus on best price?
Based on many posts here and in other forums, it might make more sense to buy as locally as you can. It seems that many dealers will not honor the Winnebago warranty if the coach was not purchased from them.
Since you are buying a bare-bones shell, and are a non-profit, your local dealer may be willing and even eager to work with you, especially if there is some good press in it for them.
