Power step

The power step on our intent 31p does not extend when I open the door. Any ideas what I should check?

The year can change the wire route at times so that is important info to get down to really looking but in general, I might guess that the door switch is one of the most common problems as they get kicked around, etc.
Second logic might say that there is a fuse or power problem.
If you have the big book of info there is often a good chart for troubleshooting the step.

Mine will on occasion not extend, and ALWAYS happens when I pull into a campsite! If I pull in and have to get out to look around, it will extend. When I'm finished parking and open the door to get set up - that's when it decides to stay in! It's not the switch. I think it will usually work if I start the engine again. It always pisses me off because it works ALL other times. It only happens as I pull into a site.
I think it's the Winnie's way of showing me who's really in charge.

Check the ground wire coming off the motor. It is usually bolted to the frame or other ground point on the chassis.
