I took my Sightseer to Southern Tire in the Florida Panhandle Dec 2021 and had the same 6 Toyo tires mounted and balanced with a front end alignment. It ran $3400.00

The quote I just got was $4100. This was with road force balancing and all metal stems an extensions.

I reluctantly replaced my 7-year old Michelins (because no Michelin replacements were available) with Toyo 265/75R 22.5 tires 5 months and 4200 miles ago for $3740.36 out the door. When installed, they stunk. They still stink, and I would trade them for Michelins in the correct size (280/80R 22.5) any day.
Just sayin'

This is critical safety information.
Unbeliveably, the specs for both tires are EXACTLY the same. I triple checked and both companies list the same exact specs:

The Toyo specs for this tire and tire size are:

Max Load:
Single axle 5205/110psi
Dual axle 4805/110 psi

The Michelin specs for the XRV 255/80 are:

Max Load:
Single axle 5205/110psi
Dual axle 4805/110psi

Here's a screen shot of the specs for each tire as published by each company - Michelin first and Toyo second:'

Good job. That research is sometimes overlooked by some when changing tire size or ratings.

Like a good many motorhomes, my RV came with Michelin 255/80 22.5" XRV tires. I don't really want to put Michelins back on so I'm buying some Toyo M-154 tires in 265/75 22.5" sizes. Seems Michelin's tire size is unique to them. But the Toyos are very close in size all around.

I checked prices a year ago but since it was still a bit early I waited until this year to make the change. Turns out that gas isn't the only thing to skyrocket in price in 2022. A set of 6 of the Toyos have gone up a little over $1000 more than last year.

I did a lot of checking around and I know I could save $30 or so per tire if I order them online and have them shipped to an installer but I decided to go with a major regional Truck tire company (Southern Tire) to insure a good purchase and install.

So, one of the major expenses of owning a motorhome has gotten about 25% more expensive during this year. That's no fun but, no one wants to mess around with their motorhome's tires.
Since you’re putting all new tires, have you looked into those rings they install inside the tire to keep the tire on the rim in the event of a blowout?

No I haven't. They are at least a couple thousand dollars installed and I'm not entirely sold on the concept. I'm most familiar with the type sold by NIRVC and I believe you can only get that one at their shop with their installation.

I would hope - maybe naively, that new tires are much less likely to "blow."

Got my new tires today. All went well, especially when it came to paying the bill. They had quoted me $4,100 "out the door" but the invoice came to $3,400 in total. So, $700 cheaper. I did not ask why. I'd prefer to not remind them of the original quote.

I'm sure it's my imagination but the 20-mi trip home from the shop seemed to ride better than expected. I just don't know if that really is the case or not. Oh well, no complaints.

I forgot to include my last tire expense.
June 2017 bought 6 new Sailun truck tires, 275/70R22/5, LR H.Purchase price, mounting, balancing, taxes; out the door $1.380.
This year, same tires are 3X the price. Labor for mounting, balancing, TBD.
