New Tour 40CD member

Great resource! Finally decided to join as a member.

Wife and I are full-time traveling for three years. We are six months in. Only one fire (aftermarket USB charger with no fuse) and many small repairs &upgrades.

The 2011 Tour 40CD is wonderful. 400hp ISL is "just enough" for me. A few lateral dips in the road make me wonder if a tag axle wouldn't be nice.

I've added LED strip lighting to the slides and a proper USB charger to the bedside. Upgraded to a Garmen 770RV (unimpressed). Ready to add 300W of solar to avoid using the generator when boondocking.

Adjusted auto-levelers, replaced step gearbox, tapped into air-brakes for Toad, added nightlight for flag illumination, ran HDMI to bay TV, added LED strip light, with door switch to under kit sink. Need to replace Gen Switch-box (Parallax 501).

Thanks for tips on cleaning the slide lock weeps to fix my interior dripps...

The post "preview" does not show the signature, so I'll play it safe and sign off here... Mark

Hey Mark! We are looking at buying a used 2010 Tour 40CD. My questions are, do you still like your Tour and what specific things should I check out before I take delivery? Appreciate responses and views of others with a similar Tour too.

Hire an RV Tech to inspect the unit.

After the dealer finishes their inspection, it will go to a local RV repair service for a thorough going over, including a look through by an aqua hot tech. If any issues are found, they will be repaired or I will walk.
