Hello all: we're finally happy to say that we have purchased our first mh and will pick it up at the end of April. I want to say this "site" has been invaluable during this search "journey" which took a couple of years. looking forward to being fulltime "winnies" hopefully this coming winter.

We have a 2008 39W that we purchased new in 2012 and love it. Only a few things that we have found to look out for. We had all the usual problems with a coach that had been sitting on the dealers lot for 4 years but those issues were taken care of under warranty. However there are a few things that we found particular to the Destination that we can pass along. I am assuming this is the Workhorse gas burner, if so have the spare filler neck on the passenger side of the gas tank checked. We were loaded up ready to go a couple of years ago when we smelled gas and had a leak from that area. Luckily we were able to get someone to come to the house on a Sunday and repair it. The tanks they used had filler necks on each side even though the passenger side was not used and just capped off. The problem was that they did not use the proper fuel line for the extension and it rotted out.
A second fix for a small problem is to add another gate valve to the drain for the holding tanks. The gray water tank for the lavatories is way too small, but by adding the additional gate valve you can open the valves for the two gray water tanks and that will allow them to equalize and act like one big tank. That allows us to stay parked for 3-5 days without having to dump.
