I'm having a problem getting a master cylinder for my 2000 Winnebago Brave 35C built on a 5/99 chassis (old style P-32 according to quote: "Driver below" or P-42 according to Workhorse, per phone call today)

"So you have a 1999 Workhorse P32 w/ 7.4L MFI, 16,001 to 19,500 GVW, Motorhome Chassis."

Moving on I have contacted Workhorse who gave me the phone numbers of two dealers in PA&DE and am presently waiting for their return phone calls.
I have talked to several parts dealers (Chev truck, Napa etc,) who say they have no listing for P-32 or P-42.

So.......finally to the question. Does anyone know of a better way to do this or better yet, a place that I can buy a master cylinder for what is really just a plain old 1999 GM chassis for a reasonable price? Thanks

My NAPA dealer has pics in his catalog. Perhaps you can take off your unit and go to a NAPA that does trucks... They said it's likely a part # 390278 if 4 wheel disc and using a 40 mm master cyl. bore, or it could be a p/n# 390279 if 2 wheel disc in front and 2 drums rear (only 1" cylinder bore).
Have you tried calling a Workhorse dealer?

Look in the yellow pages for a brake rebuilder or call a local shop to see who rebuilds them locally. They are out there.

troth.....I just got a return phone call from Workhorse and they have the part in stock at $337.56 + shipping. I thought that was kind of steep but maybe I'm wrong. I've called several NAPA'S and none could help but I'll check with them on those part numbers for a match. There are not many parts suppliers in our area and none that can get truck parts.

zertrider... There are no brake rebuilders in our area and no local shop will rebuild it for me. They say its better to find a factory rebuild. One of the benefits of living in the sticks. Thanks
