Need any medical work? The Mayo Clinic is only 100 miles away.

I'm surprised they don't have front caps in storage. Or just put a 2021 front cap on that thing. It can't be that different.

I guess there is a differents or those are spoken for as they will put our mold in line as they go thru production. Went to the HOBO convention in Britt and enjoyed a day of parades, hobo's, local goods and the museum. Fun day in small town America.

As long as we have been in Iowa, we have not seen many cows , but acres of corn and soybeans. A few hog houses and what was diary farms, but now in crop production.

FWIW- the painting is done by CDI. I had them do some repairs to the radius where the paint peeled. Pros that they are, they did the work under warranty. The CDI painters are true artisans.

We were at the visitors' center on August 4, and I had to wonder how the rigs got water and dumped sanitary tanks...

We are here at the visitor center and maybe here till October. We can get water and dump tanks over at the rally grounds, which it just across the highway 69. There is also several spaces open there for us long stay guess. We plan on moving around for a change of scenery as we go there to dump tanks. 50 amps but no water sewer at sites. There are sites at repair center as well , but those are for repairs that take a couple of days, as they bring coach back at nite ,then back into shop the next day. Ones here at visitors center are for overnite guest and those who are waiting for their place in line. Owners of a Winneabago can stay a nite or two free and those waiting for repairs get a sign for the window . Nice setup and things to do.

OK folks a Update. Been here since the accident Aug. 7. Living in a parking lot with power. Talked to service adviser and our insurance person. Getting parts, estimates, and spot in line. We will not be getting into service until DEC 7. They will hopefully have it for 8 days. We have to go home for doctor appointments that were delayed since last year. We have found covered storage ,since Winnebago will not store unit on site. Will get someone to deliver it to them . We'll fly back ,rent a car ,drive to Forest City, get a Hotel until coach is complete, camp for a few days , return car, check everything and leave for home. Will winterize the coach, hope that we will leave after repairs. We will be keeping receipts and hopefully get the cost back from his insurance or him. We have tried to enjoy our stay, but winter is coming and our time is getting short to get home. Got things to do and places to be.Overall this has been eye opening ,as to what happens when your life is upended, your home is wrecked and your insurance is not all you thought it was as to whats owned you. Get a dash cam and be careful out there.

Also you likely have DAYLIGHT DRIVING LIGHTS as well, as I have those so really ZERO excuse beyond just too D$%M Stupid to be allowed to drive ????!!!!

Seriously, how fast did that driver think its truck was to scoot across in front of you vs wait for JUST 5 SECONDS more ??????

Was that driver able to go pickup that Lottery Ticket winnings for the $500,000,000 payout OR was it a fire they were going to fight ???? OR drugs ???

UPDATE !!!! UPDATE !!!!!! Monday traveled to Lake Placid ,to overnite at friends house ,then to Tampa to pickup rental car, Drove to our lot at Emerial Point RV Resort and left car. Back to Tampa for a overnight at hotel near airport. Flight to Chicago, three hour layover then a flight into Mason City Iowa, as the strong cold front is moving across the plains. Get to our hotel , dump bags and go down for dinner and drinks as the winds pickup and tornato warning and watches are going on. Pay check and the power goes out at 7;30 Go to room and crash. Get another rental car today , go shopping and head for Forest City ,Iowa and winnebago to check on coach. Talk to service advisor and coach is in final prep and paint and everything is good for next week sometime. So to another hotl with kitchen and we'll setup camp here until it's ready. So far his insurance has paid for our trip home, storage in Iowa for 4 months, our deductable, lost deposits at campgrounds we lost . Will still have to pay lost of use , this trip home , this trip up here , deprecation of coach. We hope to be out of here before the next snow.

UPDATE !!! It's back ! We finally got our coach back . New front bottom cap ,a newer looking front , painted and all the little things that make it whole. Big shout out to the team at Winnebago 's service department , and body shop. After receiving the coach on Dec 6 , accident August 7 , they kept us inform of the progress and updated us when it would be ready. Got here last week and stayed at the Cobblestone Hotel , they have a Winnebago rate , in a studio suite with kitchen. Very nice and were able to cook dinner as they have a free breakfast each morning. If in town for repair ,this is the place to stay while coach is in ,if you can not stay in coach. We'll leave tomorrow for Florida and leave this cold weather behind. THANK YOU Winnebago.
