I have found that Toyo's are not exactly cheap, in Sierra Vista AZ at Jack Furrier's Western Tire store for 6 M154 the price was $2866 out the door. That includes all the additional items, tax, balancing and disposal fees.

Mike, are you saying they gave you a 50% discount, and your final bill was almost $2000? I'm sure that I am misunderstanding your statement. I purchased 6 new Continentals(275-70x22.5) 16 ply, for around $2400 out-the -door. Is michelin tires that expensive?

Re your new Michelin tires; you never posted the model/size or age of your original tires. Could you share that info. I'm about to pull the trigger on six new 255/80R22.5 XRV tires whether or not Michelin gives me anything on my 5yr-17week old tires. I had the tires checked by a local dealer here in Fullerton, CA. He said Michelin would say they are fine but he wouldn't drive cross country on 'em. He and I attempted on four occasions to reach Michelin by phone yesterday to discuss the situation, were put on "hold" four times for a total of better than 40 minutes and disconnected four times. We'll try again today.

Beabop, Here's Toyo's tire sizes and dimensions. Do you think you will go with the 265/75R22.5 or do you think we can run the next size bigger, the 295/75R22.5.

Sorry just got home. My Michelins were 235/80R22.5. They were just over 5years old. they had no problem talking to Michelin as I recall. This was two years ago. they claimed list price at 450 ea.

Mike

PS- they do ride great as always. But I doubt I would have replaced at that list price.

i wouldn't buy michelin again. big name many tires and didn't reply to the fact my 255.80r's were cracking in the side wall. tires had 15,000 mi and tread like new. tires are 5 yrs. old on meridian 39k itasca. as for givin michelin a fair shake, the inner tires had no cracks so it must have been the sun and weather, but tires with little use or a lot should not crack like the 255.80's have.

I've got the same size Michelin with 25000 + miles with no sidewall cracks or cracks in the threads for that matter.

Thanks

Sammie we will go with the size Toyos that give us the most head room and distance between the duals.

The Toyo website recommends using the tire pressures posted on the MH for proper inflation. It's very important to have the coach weighed (Loaded) to comply with the placard.
Best thing I did was switching to TOYO. Made in the good ole USA.

I just bought the coach at the end of this past October and have put on only limited miles since then. I can't say if the original owners kept the tires inflated as I found them. When I first checked them after I weighed the RV in December, they were RF=93, LF=93, RRIS=73, RROS=75, LRIS=76, and LROS=73 . Being a newbie, I hadn't thought to check for sidewall cracking at the time I made the purchase . My first RV, I didn't have to worry about such things (see my signature line )
