Searched but can't find the squares in a 38J. Anybody know?

I'm curious why you want to know.

8x38 will give you a reasonable estimate.

Just would like to know what we will be living in as we are about to go full time. Have had some pretty small apartments and some nice houses over the years but this will be our most confined yet. With all three slides out it feels comfortable but have not been it for an extended time yet.

Think my cost per Sq. Ft is a little higher that most homes for sure.

We have been living in our 38 J for over fours years, and we dont feel confined, but your experience may be different.

With that much time under your belt, I have to ask. Any major issues?

Are you asking about issues related to the size of the living space, or issues with the motorhome itself?

As far as the living space goes, it is nice from time to time to do our own thing for a few hours, but I dont see this as much different that living together in a house or apartment 24/7.

The way I look at, I take up about 20 sq ft, and that's laying down. Standing or sitting even less. With another person, what's important is space for one person to pass another (not a problem in motorhomes with slides), and a place to put a wall between you for alone time (bedroom suffices for this usually). Everything else is just having enough space for all the stuff you THINK you need but don't.

Or think you need and do. We both have hobbies that take up space when we are parked. Not having access to our hobbies is not a trivial nuisance.

You're confusing need with want. As the kids say today, "First world problems." Moving from a house to an RV is done easiest if you adjust your mindset first.

No, I'm not. The problem with minimalists it they assume the rest of us can be comfortable without our toys because they spend their time other ways. My point is that everyone needs a certain amount of toys to be content. Then it becomes a choice of toys. There certainly is a point of overkill but that is not leaving everything at home.

386 Sq/Ft.

Far less than a standard double car garage.

Thank you Dr4Film. That is what I was looking for. At that, I didn't pay any more per SQ.Ft. for the coach than I did my present brick and mortar. Somehow I feel better.
