Lippert Power Gear Slide Experts?

Does anyone know the purpose of the 4 screws with nylon pads or wheels on the ends are for? To me it looks like the metal rollers are what the assembly rides on and the nylon or plastic parts are intended to be screwed in till they touch the inside of the rail to prevent lateral movement. Lippert support and Lippert manuals were no help. First pic is top view and second is bottom view just to show the screws and that they are not tightened all the way down, all 4 were like this. The metal rollers are held in with studs and nuts and are all tight.

Just to follow up I found an exploded diagram that refers to them as "wear buttons". Nobody was any help at Winnebago, Lippert or the RV Travel forum, nobody had a clue. I ended up tightening them against the rail then backing off enough to leave a slight gap and everything works good.
