Leveler Problems - 28' Sunstar

We have a 28' Sunstar and have done a few trips with no issues. At our home, we have to put the front right tire on a 15" pile of gravel, then the auto levelers have always worked fine.

Now we are getting an error message "Error-Retract timeout"...anybody know what that means? We are home now and the levelers won't work at all. They just give us this message--then they also said "Return leveler for service". Hoping we don't have to do that!

Essentially it means it took longer for the jacks to retract than the time allowed in the program. This is not unusual in cold weather. We've had it happen several times in temperatures below 32*F.

To clear the code engage the parking brake, turn the ignition to the on position and press Enter and Retract at the same time to clear error. Turn engine on and restart auto retract sequence. Check for leaks, repair if necessary.

It could also be a low power issue if the engine wasn't running when the jacks were being retracted. In most cases if it is low power it will display that wording on the screen. However if power was diminishing, but not yet to the voltage to display "Low Power" the jacks could have slowed down enough to trip the "Error-Retract timeout" code instead.

I would clear the code as instructed above. Once the jacks are retracted check the oil in the reservoir. There should be a full mark indicator on the plastic tank. If it's low there may not have been enough to fully retract the jacks
