Try this: The Extend/Retract switch is on the dash. When my slide was giving me trouble and wouldn't retract I could push the Retract while I grabbed the edge of the slide and pulled. That gave it the oomph it needed and it retracted. Had to do this several times over a couple weeks of travel. I was happy that was working and a couple times did it with the engine running...which worked even better. Over time it got easier and easier to get the slide started until one day, it did it all by itself.
What was wrong you ask? Nothing was wrong. What happened was that while playing around, I'd flipped the little 'release' handle on the back of one of the hydraulic valves. A minute later, flipped it back to normal position. I just did it to see what would happen. Nothing seemed to happen until I tried to retract the next day. Apparently, flipping that valve release introduces air somehow and the air has to migrate back to the hydraulic tank over time and as it does, retract gets progressively stronger and stronger.
Your case may be different of course, and you can contact AZPete on this and other forums via PM. He's an HWH tech and will help you get yours fixed. He shows his phone # all the time so it is probably on his profile. Good guy.

How are things going? If your slide is still not working I suggest taking a close look at the ram slides. I had one bend on my last coach. Slide was stuck out. I don't recall how I got the slide in. I think I jacked the failed end up and inched it in, resetting the jack several times.

Is your coach level? That will make a difference.

Thanks to all that replied I finally found time to address my situation. Here's what I've found out after talking with HWH they informed that for my production years that there are hydrulic lines that were installed on coachs which were not properly crimped during production and they leak between the hose and the crimped portion of the fitting thereby cre add ting a hydrulic leak. My system has this problem and had leaked enough fluid to allow air into my slide plumbing requiring additional oil to be added to the reservoir after purging the air slide works fine. So now to resolve the problem I have to replace the hydrulic lines at my expense to eliminate the problem. HWH admits to the faulty production but will not supply
the new hydrulic lines. Really sucks because of the cost.

There are hydraulic shops all over the country. If you remove your hoses and take them to a shop like that, they'll make you new hoses much less expensive then HWH will supply them.
