Journey 34Y Used advice

Considering a garage keep used 2009 Journey 34Y, 5,500 miles on it. They want $150k for the coach. Is this a good coach and what about price. Tires are date code Feb 2008 is this a problem.

Keep shopping and the price will come down! I am basing that comment on only my experience of advertising my 2012 Journey for sale and getting daily offers from wholesalers at around 160. Absolutly O calls from interested buyers! Since my intention was not to give the coach away it was pulled from the market.
As for the tire date, it is an indication of possible future cost to you since they say a tire should not be used after 7 or 8 years. I suspect that you can squeeze more out of them but there will be a time when you just have to spend the big bucks. Winnebago builds a good coach. Once it leaves the factory how it was maintained is a crap shoot! However Winnebago will have all you need to keep it in good shape based on the support they have made available to me.

The price is high. The tires shouldn't be a problem if you have them inspected by a tire shop.

Compare these motor homes on consignment for pricing

I've been watching the advertizements and the market for 2009 Meridian V/Journey 34y for the last couple of years and it's been my experience that the few that are for sale are always sold very quickly.

They are very desirable because they have the Cummins 350 hp with the big torque rating, the full-wall slideout and the buffet with the popup TV at eye level, etc.

It's priced a bit high. But, if you take too long in getting a lower price you will lose it. Garage kept and 5.5K miles on it?-I wouldn't worry about the tires, you can replace those. It's extremely hard to find that model, let alone with that care and low miles, they just don't come up for sale very often.

We like the 2009 better that the 2010 when they changed the trans and made the driver's side TV a $2000 option. We bought a 2010 40L which came in titled as an 11 and paid $180,000 NEW. $150,000 is way too much!

NADA says Average Retail is $137,220.
This is with NO options. And again that is Average.

I bought my 2011 Journey 34y last June for $161,000 and it was brand new (2 years on the lot). So I would say $150k for an '09 2nd owner, might be a little steep.....JMHO...
