Itasca Sunstar 32 thoughts requested
Looking for some feedback on a 2010 Itasca Sunstar 32 ft on a ford chassis. I have a chance to buy one fairly reasonable. This would be our first rig. Have renter Hurricanes before and also some Class C units. Just would like some thougts on the quality and also if this would be a good first unit to own. Regards, Gary

Being that there no been a reply on a 32, I'll pas on my thoughts on the '11 26P and my current '14 Sunstar 35F. My only complaint on the 26P was rough riding and too small for our needs but decent on fuel consumption. The 35F, no complaints and by far the best riding Class A we've owned. Better ride suspension started in '13.

Thanks for that. Since I'm a newbie, I was looking to confirm that the Itasca would be a better choice then the Hurricane. Surprised by the lack of response.

I don't have a 32 either.. I have a 2012 35F and I couldn't be happier with my coach.. As Mustang652 said... no complaints on mine either... I will say... mine is a 2012 and I couldn't be happier with the ride.. not sure what differences there are in the 2013 vs the 2012 suspension.. but we have no issues with ours..
I am going to Forest City, IA at the beginning on October to address a slide issue I'm having... I've tentatively negotiated for Itasca to pay for this repair as I am making the effort to bring the RV to them at my expense (warranty expired last year).. I don't think its a major issue... but seeing as it pertains to the large slide on the drivers side... I don't want to risk having an unqualified dealership screwing things up... luckily, I'm in Wisconsin and it's not that bad of a drive..

There is a significant difference between a 32 and a 35. The 35 has a longer wheelbase and also larger tires. Having just traded a 32 2013 Fleetwood Storm in on a 35 Vista (same as Sunstar) I notice a significant improvement in ride. I suspect the same would be true between a 32 and 35 Winnebago product on the F53 chassis. BTW - I'm blown away by the quality of my Vista vs the Fleetwood product.

We have an Itasca 32H 2014, the Ford chassis & the V10 gas motor are a perfect match. We only use our bus in Florida so not to many hills, if your going to be climbing some mountains then a diesel would be a better bet. We have had no issues at all with the chassis, motor or any of the ancillary equipment supplied by Winnebago. We only ever have just the two of us and of course the dog, plenty of room.

Not in NH are you? We just traded in our 2010 Sunstar 32K. It was well built. Only problem we really had with it was the slideouts. They would get cocked sliding and cause it to fault. When I brought in in for service, they "aligned it". Still happened most of the time. Just reset it and continued to open/close.

We have a 2013 Itasca 32h. Our previous RV was a 2013 Holiday Rambler 36SBT. We traded down because of problems with the HR and a few design flaws that became to bothersome for us. The 32h has a far superior build quality to the HR. It gets better gas mileage and is far easier to maneuver into tight quarters, like fueling stops. A few problems that were all promptly repaired. The more we use it the more we like it. Rides much better and is a lot quieter in the cab. We pull a car on a dolly and it manages quite well with the extra weight. We wish we had bought this one first. Oh well. BOL with your shopping.

Stan, what did they do to improve the ride suspension?
