I noted Wagonaster's reply above who indicated he has a 2004 Meridian. What years are we talking about for this issue? I was reading a flyer at the RV park I am staying and it indicated units built in 2003 or prior. I have a 2004 Safari Simba with a 4 dr. Norcold. Previous owner indicated he had recall work done prior to my purchase last year. After reading this thread I am thinking I better research this issue with regard to my coach. Has Norcold solved this issue with recent years models and if so when?
Well I guess I answered my own question. I went to Norcold's website and I see that they have expanded the recall to include models made through 2010. I checked mine, and the serial number falls inside the range listed. Guess I'll be calling Norcold. Have they ever fixed this issue. If they can't build a safe new one how can I feel comfortable that they can "Fix" the older ones?????
You need to check the serial number of the Cooling Unit itself. I made the mistake of going by the fridge serial number and thought mine was not included. Mine is a late 2003 model.
You have to take the outside cover off to find the cooling unit serial number.
edit: I see Norcold now lists fridge serial numbers now, my post may not apply. But if the first recall was done, I would have to assume yours would be included for the 2nd one. Not sure why your #'s don't add up.

Essentially it's every 1200 series ever made up to the cutoff in late 2010. Don probably knows the answer, but at that point I doubt the cooling unit design was changed, just the addition of the fail-safe.
