I am ready to change oil & filter ?

Am preparing to change oil and filter on my 2007 Journey 34h with 300 Cummins...how much oil and which oil filter should I get? Thanks, Karl.

Don't you have an owners manual? Should use their recommendations.

Karl, I don't recall if I've attached copies of our (2007 Journey 34SH/SE) owners manual, chassis maintenance manual, chassis operators manual etc., for you in the past. If not, sing out and I will.

To your immediate question, here's a quick reference guide with filter part numbers and so on.

CUMMINS ISB maintenance & operation.pdf

This refers you back to the chassis maintenance manual, which tells you approximately 5 gallons of 15-40.

About to start an on-line argument here, but I have always used Shell Rotella.

On sale for the next month at Costco, but WM's price is always cheap anyhow.

Yup. As we say here in Baja Arizona, we like "bueno, bonito y barrato" (good, pretty and cheap)

I'd ask myself if you really want to do that messy job? 5 gals of oil is a ton to get rid of. There must be a place somewhere near you that could do the job. My time and energy would be spent doing something else...(although mine's a gasser with barely more than a gallon to dump- so I do it)

I did enough oil changes in the past, I don't feel the need to do them anymore.

I have a mobile RV service come out to our RV space, a much younger guy, scrambles around on the ground, draining oil, changing filters, lubing the chassis, finally pumping that waste oil back into his barrels for disposal.

The cost isn't outrageous, I get to supervise as much as I want, and the job is done, no muss, no fuss.
