HWH Z Slide
I hope some one has a solution to my problem.
I have a 2004 Itasca Horizon with HWH z slide on the curb side. This slide creeps in 2-6 inches when parked. This doesn't happen all the time but more than not. Fluid good. Have run slide in and out. Anyone experienced this problem?

Your best bet is to send a private message to Tireman9. He's an HWH employee who's been a great help to me and other Winnieowners.

'Azpete' is the HWH employee in I'm familiar with on these forums. I thought Tireman9 worked with tires?

I'm sure Paul Maddox ( azpete) is who Bob meant to refer to...
If you search for Paul's posts (here and on iRV2.com) you should find his cell # as well--he's posted it many times.

My bad, thanks for your faith in me. These guys are my two favorite experts, and I don't know how I mixed up their names. My apologies to both of them.

Don't know what a "Z" slide is, but the normal problem when a slide creeps in is bad extend solenoid. There are a couple of other possibilities, but this has always been my issue. Easy to replace, but not as easy to figure out which one to replace after you find them on/next to the HWH fluid reservoir.

Sorry the slide is a HWH X slide normally found on the curb side. But sounds like you may have the issue's solution.

HWH Jacks
Maybe someone has a idea what could be my issues. Or know someone to call or some kinda heads up up...
Always from day one, and the sales dude didn't help out much other then it will break I. "RIGHT" ... When I retracting the driverside "the living room slide" the rear of the slide lags really bad. It's almost like the hydraulic isn't pumping fluid to the slave cylinder. Last time I pushed on it and seem so move freely. Kinda. But maybe not... Any idea folk would be wonderful.
PS. I been wanting to post then for quit sometime.

Like I said in a earlier post, it is probably something to do with the slide solenoid.

its out of synchronization. when you pull it in, hold the button for about 15 seconds after both sides of the rooms are in tight. this should get the sync cylinder in the right position..
if this doesnt work, do the same with it fully extended.
you may have to do a hose A bleed, to get it to sync up.its in the service manual. if you need one, its on the hwh website, or email me at [email protected].
running it out part way several times causes this problem. salesmen are the worst for doing this.
i know, i was a winnebago salesman once.
paul maddox
i do work for hwh full time. i do not sell parts or solicit service work on this forum.

Paul, Thank you ,thank you your suggestion about holding slide in for 15 sec worked.
Easy fix if you know the solution. Thanks again.

Good to know this was an easy fix for the OP.
For future reference, in the event you cannot sync your slide, and you still have a Slideout "creep" issue, here's more information gleaned from the HWH Technical library (dungeon).
When diagnosing slide-out rooms that have extended when not in use, as a general rule, if the room moves less than 1" the check valve is the probable cause. If the room moves more than 1", as a general rule, the extend solenoid valve is the probable cause. This movement is not caused by the power unit.
See attached .pdf files you can save for a rainy day. One explains how to test the check valve and the other shows a diagram of the part.
