I have the unpowered ones in the rest of the coach. The ones on the cabin side windows are the best thing I have seen to block sunlight from the sides when driving.

See them HERE
We have the MCD American Duo powered front shades on the windshield of our 2013 Adventurer, and unpowered ones on the remainder of the windows. The ones on the windshield run in a channel on either side to keep them parallel with the window.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction. This looks really promising. Are you comfortable during the daytime with the privacy the mesh screen affords? Does it allow more light in than the daytime mesh-pleated curtains that are on the coach--not the sliding curtains on the cockpit?

It does allow much more light in than the pleated curtains in our previous motorhome. You can actually see through the mesh when the one on the windshield is used as a sun visor.

We don't attempt to use them as privacy curtains. I would suspect if we can see outside anyone outside can see in. The opaque shade is meant to be used for privacy. We've had campsites under street lights and the opaque shades are dense enough to block out any light.

When the MCD factory installed the shades on my windshield they added a black trim piece to the back of the vertical trim piece to tip it out from the windshield so as to create a channel like yours. Works well.

For those of you who use the Magne Shade product, how to you store the shades? Do you have a problem with the magnets sticking to each other when in storage? How do you keep them clean?

You order a storage bag from Roger. If the magnets stick together, just pull them apart, no big deal. Soap, water and a brush is what I used. Now I don't bother because I replaced the MCD privacy shade with a printed shade from them. Looks great!
