Good deal, sounds like a winner! Just for info, did you get the wires far enough out of the dash to look for any Id labels on the sides?
Again, I sends my congrats as you have to be a very tricky person to have found that problem with the limited info we got .
Funny part is that once you told me where to look, about the only info they give us is how the switch is to be installed!!! No info that tells us which wire goes to it!
Maybe the installer was standing upside down?

There was barely enough slack to get the harness out past the dash panel. No labels were found except for the numbering of the pins. Also, I believe all the wires were yellow.

FYI, the photo in my previous post shows the harness in the upside down orientation.
