Help Buying Used Adventurer

Hi, I'm looking at a 2011 Adventurer 35p it has 52000miles on it.
It has had the safety stabilizer installed in the front. Can you give me any advice on what to look for on it? Anything Bad about this model or year? They are asking
$70000 for it and it appears to be in great shape. Thanks for the help.

I have a 2017 model. We’ve loved it, especially for longer trips because it has so much storage. We also love the opposing slides in the front because the living area has so much space. As with any Winnie, I would carefully inspect the roof seams and other roof openings. In addition, make sure the slides and jacks are working well. Otherwise I think you’ll love it!

With any 11-year old Winnebago you must learn about and check the roof where it is tucked into the drip rails on the sides of the coach. Look for any water intrusion at the front cap and any rust around the windshield metal frame.

As with any RV, check the age of the tires (DOT date codes) and the age of the house batteries. Because those are both the kinds of things that usually need replaced right away on used coaches.

Lastly, I know RV prices have been strong for the last 2-years but $70k for an 11-year old Adventurer sounds $5,000 to $10,000 too high to me.

Thanks for the advice. At what age would you say tires need replacing?

Every 5 - 7 years regardless of miles driven. There is a manufacturer build date on each tire. It shows year and week built. So the tires on this RV should have been replaced once already and on the verge of being replaced again. This is about a $3,000 expense for 6-tires, mounted and balanced.

Okay thanks that's good information.

I would ask the seller for maintenance records. The seller should have documented details of all service performed on the coach and provide receipts. Is the seller the original owner? Spend the $$ and have an independent experienced inspector check it out.
Do an online check of the VIN.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
