My 2002 adveturer had loose healight bracket on both sides. The bracket is kind of U shaped and the top of the bracket appears to have 3 holes in it where it should be attached to the front of the motorhome. I aasume too many trips over Missouri and Arkansas interstes did it!!
Any one have an idea what kind of fastener goes into those 3 holes?
Thanks

You may find that there were no screws. I've seen similar brackets that were simply fiberglassed into place. Look with a flashlight & mirror. Some brackets were smushed into a gob of soft bondo, letting the bondo ooze thru the bracket holes. After curing/hardening, the brackets were mounted pretty stongly.
I just checked and I think you are right about the bondo - however, the brackets are loose. Can you put bondo on top of bondo? Any suggestions on how to attach the brackets again?

I found the same thing on my 2000. One of the brackets was completely free and the other loose. My local dealer said that they were not needed and could cause a lot of damage if they came loose and got into the fan, but on a subsequent visit to the Winnebago plant they reattached them for $7. That was two years ago and they are still solid.
I had the same thing happen on one side on my 2002 Adventurer the first year I had it. I added epoxy over the existing material which I believe is also epoxy. The fix is about 2 years old now & still holding.
You will need at least a full tube of epoxy & maybe two tubes. Rig some kind of tempory shim to hold the bracket in place while the epoxy is drying.
Thanks - sounds like this is repairable. Will look at it and see a way to brace if I get the epoxy on it. Strange thing to do to a headlight bracket!!!
