Question Fuel tank capacity

New to motor homes as of Sept '17. Have '06 Vectra and we're on our first road trip. Owners manual says 100 gal. fuel tank but I've not been able to put more than 75 gal on board. The fuel gauge reads 3/4 full. I've ran down to 8% fuel remains warning and still only pump 65 - 67 gals and still see 3/4 full on gauge?? Any ideas.

The venting on the FL chassis was lousy. It seems like it take me forever to get the last 15-20 gallons in. With the foam i just have to trickel it in.

I even reset the tank level on my Silverleaf VMSpc to just 85 gal. I can get the dash gage to read full.

2005 Jouney, when I purchased it th PO told me the fuel has to go in slow because the diesel foam and the tank doesn't vent well. He had built a little wooden wedge that that allowed the fuel to go in slightly slower than the lowest notch on the pump. When I use that I can get it full. Couple times I wasn't patient and put the fuel in quicker and as only able to get it to about 7/8ths. There are some threads about this issue. Freightliner did retrofit a different vent on some specific models.
