Front TV in 2012 Meridian 42E
My living room TV will not get a signal from Directv. It works fine on the air antenna. The bedroom TV has a good picture on Direct. I had to replace the Matrix 4X4 splitter and finally got it to work but only for the rear.
I'm beginning to think that either the receiver for the front TV is bad or there is a problem with the wiring.
Help!

Try switching receivers........if the OTA works on the front TV ,I would think the cable going to the TV is ok.......

Finhawk, Those 4x4 matrix are a little tricky. Does the signal from the DVD get to the front TV? OTA signals do not go through the 4x4 Matrix.

Nothing gets to it. I checked the exterior TV also. Nothing there either.
I know the OTA has no effect on the Matrix. I'm beginning to wonder if I got a bad switch.

Finhawk, do the lights on the switch for each channel and the receiver look like they are working? Double check the Cat5 cable connections TMDS to TMDS and DDC to DDC.

The lights are working as they should. The lights on the receivers are on also. The wires were switched on the new Matrix just like they came off the old one. And they are secure

Finhawk, if possible might try running a HDMI cable from the switch directly to the front TV. You have to remove the cat6 before plugging in the HDMI cable. This would check the front end of the switch.

That's mission impossible with the way this thing is set up.

Finhawk, below is a link to the video drawings for your coach. I would swap the brown (front TV) and green (bedroom TV) cat6 at the switch and see which TV works. Double tape goes in the TMDC port and single tape goes in the DDC port.

I am assuming it has work up to this point properly?
Try using a different hdmi input to the matrix.
I assume input 1 is the DVD the unit came with and you are using one of the 2 other hdmi cales provided for your sat receiver.

That's a idea, Grant but that doesn't prove much since the exterior TV doesn't work either. I spent about 15 minutes going over that diagram this morning.
No Rich. It's a replacement unit. The original died. The DVD is on the #1 HDMI slot, roof top Sat in the middle and Sat2 on the far left.
When I switched units, I made sure that the cables went to the same spots in the new one. It's perplexing to say the least
I think that I might switch the 2 Directv receivers tomorrow and see if that will solve the problem.

Finhawk, it would tell you if it is the switch port or the receiver.

Well, you have at least one input and one output working.
Does you BR Tv get input from the DVD and other Sat receiver? (shows all inputs work)
Switch the output cables from the TVs that do not get signal to the port that you currently have the BR TV plugged into.
If all cables work, but some ports do not, bad switch...Again...
Hopefully yours has more cable than mine, I added an HDMI to port 4, as it came without a cable. I could barely get the switch out enough to get the cable plugged in. I am dreading having any issues with it. The AV wiring is already messed up on mine, trying to get dealer to fix it. Fun,fun,fun...

Rich, that switch should pull straight out of the bracket. I bent the heck out of mine trying to lift the Matrix out.
Why did you add another HDMI cable?

Well, both Directv receivers work. But now, even tho I turned the Matrix power off before disconnecting the receivers, only the left light is on on the Matrix display. But the bedroom TV still works. I'm beginning to think that I got a bad Matrix. Also I'm beginning to think that ---- I guess I'd better not say!

I have the OEM DVD in port 1, my DISH in port 2, Roku in port 3 and I will stream my DISHANYWHERE from my laptop in port 4. There was nothing in port 4, so I had to add the additional HDMI cable.
The CAT5 cables were quite short and it was very difficult to get the matrix out enough to get my hand in.
Are you a DISH customer? I have a Hopper w/ Sling in the stick house and will watch the local news, and sports I can't get when away. It is a bit of a toss up as I can not change my service address or my Hopper will stop getting the local. Then I can not get the local/network channels when away. I do need a quick campground internet to stream HD.

I got a bad switch so the folks that I bought it from on EBay are refunding my money. I contacted Monoprise. They have the complete kit on Amazon for $305.00. It should be here Thursday. Maybe I'll finally get Directv after 2 months

I wonder if there is a CAT5 to HDMI converter plug?
