Head up and keep in mind that the only folks that are making mistakes also happens to be the ones who are actually DOING somethings! Those who do not make mistakes are likely not doing too much either.
So kick yourself once and call it good once you tell us what you found on the orifice? Mashed, corroded, mud dauber, spider? Just plain old gremlins, perhaps?

Morich, it was corroded, not sure what caused it but it is cleaned out now and working as it should.

There'll be days like that. Enjoy and remember it was cheaper than shops and a whole lot quicker.
