The third battery will go in the large compartment just to the rear of the battery compartment. This will allow me to keep the cables similar in length. I think we’re gonna need it, as I’ve been watching out BM and we’re not going to make it through the night on two—we have three refrigerators!
Now, back to what you did. Why can’t we do what you did with the existing auto transfer switch in our units? I looked at the wiring today in-line, I think it’s possible... Thanks!

Yes you can, I felt that since I was beefing up the inverter I had to also do that. I wish I had my drawing I know there is 2 splits to the left of original switch that have to go en reconfigure the wiring. Give me some time, crazy week ahead, house remodel and leaving for Morro Bay on Friday.

Wgco lithium charging profile swap out
Ok, Lithium WFCO charger unit installed. They say 10 minutes to install, and they’d probably be right, IF, you knew exactly what tools you need, No big deal, but several large and medium flat head screw drivers, needle nose pliers, and one Phillips and you’re done. Took me 26 minutes including finding the right tools. Simple.
The interesting part came when I powered everything back up. I’m always on shoreline power, so ostensibly, I was at full SOC, but of course we know that can’t be with the OEM charging unit that’s profile is for FLA and AGM.
What happened was my Victron showed 50+ amp cranking into the batteries for the next hour. So, they were woefully not full—despite that the Victron showed 100%. (Because it defaults to 100% upon installation). It doesn’t really KNOW that the batteries aren’t at 100%. Wires that needed to be swapped out are circled.
Next, came the install of a third Battle Born lithium, sporting that right next door in the immediate aft basement compartment.
No big deal, but that small battery box is a bitch to work in. THAT, took awhile...
If I need to add a fourth, it’ll be easy, as a fourth battery would be in the same adjacent compartment, where there’s room to work. We’ll see, time will tell...
I finished off the third battery with adjusting the cable lengths, and adding a positive cable cap so no ground could ever hit it, or tool short across. (Not shown).

I want to do this upgrade at some point. Going to boondock a bit and see how much power we need. Looking at those SOK 206ah batteries.

Has anyone rigged a hose extension to make the top fill of the freshwater tank more easily accessible? Or any other tips on sanitizing the freshwater system beside pouring the chlorine mix directly into the tank there?

I haven’t bothered. But I do use these two products.
You could always just pour the amount of chlorine into your hose and then fill the tank at the side as well.
I have two of the water meters ( in different colors so I don’t mix them up). One for fresh water, so I know how much we're carrying, and one for filling the black tank with 5 gallons of water after it’s been flushed, which is exactly the amount to need to just cover the bottom of the tank.

Fresh water sanitation

To sanitize my freshwater tank I use the antifreeze tube in the freshwater valve bay. I fill a one gallon bucket with fresh water and bleach and use the antifreeze tube to suck it up into the freshwater tank. I also fill the freshwater tank up and flush the antifreeze pickup tube with fresh water. Don’t want bleach sitting in the tube. Run the sinks until I smell a slight bleach odor. Let tank sit 24 hrs and then drain and fill the tank a couple of times. I sanitize the tanks a few times a year.

Oh man!!!! I didnt even think of using that tube. Super solution!!! I had been using a long neck funnel, but the access point demands a lot of contortion to use that main fill cap. Thank you!!

Magne Shades
Today’s project was installing the new window shades up front to cut down the heat entering da Winnie.
What a difference!!!! Immediately cooler inside.
You can still see out during the day, but can’t see in. Night time that will reverse. You still have to use the pull down shade.
They say you need 2 people to install, but my wife is “balance challenged” so I tackled alone, with the aide of blue masking tape. It took me a while to clean the windows and remove the wax that I just put on
The rest was pretty easy after watching the videos.
I got the front and side shades, and had them extend the length of the sides to attach to the body, rather than the sliding window. This way the windows can still be open with the screens in place. They even throw in wiper blade covers. Bu-Bye pool noodle!
The website says 5-7 week delivery time, but I received mine in 2 weeks, even with delayed shipping due to the storm passing through Texas.
Expensive, but worth it.
