It worked! Thanks for the help.

I forgot to mention the stairs. They really creaked and sounded cheap because of the latches. I took them off and put some felt to soften the blow of slamming shut. My dog was afraid of the slippery steps, so I got some stair tread pieces from Lowe's to put on.

Here's the backsplash in the kitchen and bath. Also the shower curtain.
Next is the over head shelf up front.

For all Intents and purposes

We have had tons of great interaction amongst new Intent owners and helpful RV veterans getting us newbies tips and tricks as we get to know these rigs. Let's carry on the great discussion everybody!

Thanks very much @macnut!

So far we have done what I'll call practice runs through town. A trip to get weighed and another trip to dump the tanks. Breaking in the driving experience with the initial 7 hour-ish Drive from Dallas (where I bought it) to Lafayette (where we live) helped emmensly as well. Heck, even pulled off a three point turn in the RV park to get turned around for the dump station. I'm building confidence in the dimensions, handling, sightlines and mirrors with these little trips for sure.

Looks like first trip will be to the New Orleans Jazz Fest this spring. About to book our spot at the KOA there (looks like it's the highest reviewed coupled with earliest check in).

Hey all, we just copied over a bunch of content that I think we got a lot of value out of and hope new intent drivers do as well. Let me know if I missed a crucial post in the old thread though.

Wow sounds like a complete overhaul.
Would love to see photos, and learn more about the fridge door closer upgrade. That stock lock is screwy.
Night.

I just got my new mattress from overstock where the price was right and ratings were off the chart.

Nice! Thanks for the link. Mattress upgrade may be in the cards for us.

Here's some better pictures of the refrigerator latch. It's attached using existing holes.

I took the dash apart today. Came apart very easily, as expected.
There was plenty of slack in all the wiring and vent hoses, EXCEPT the small wire loom that connects the leveling Jack's. It was tight. I unplugged it to give more room.
I found out why the ac output on the driver side sucked... the lower hose was disconnected from the vent. Hopefully now I'll get more air.
The foam pipe insulation that the dealer squeezed in above the radio did nothing. The problem that I imagine we all have, is the lower support mount is very flimsy sheet metal. I believe if it were made from 1/8" steel plate it would be fine. I'm going to look into it.
In the meantime, I found that a 2x4 set under the pod (wood sitting upright) fits snug and feels solid against the engine cover. I haven't driven to see if it helps. I'm throwing it out there so that you guys can give it a try as a possible quick fix.

Here's what it looks like...

Thanks. You guys are so advanced.
I just found a baby-safe refrigerator stick-on lock that I’ll be trying.

I’ll be christening the mattress tomorrow night on Winnie’s maiden voyage.
Although I have a foam topper on top from the previous Minnie, I should have a good idea as to the quality, no?
Will report my findings.

Hey @ygohom, anything securing that 2x4 or just tension and gravity for now? Adding support underneath is just what is needed, I'll wager.

Definitely interested in the sleep quality you get with the upgrade!

Just the tension. It lifts the pod slightly, but holds it firm. I'd like to make a new bracket that doesn't necessarily push it up to hold in place, but just be a solid mount like Winnebago should have made.

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered one. $235 with a coupon is much better than $600 for the one from Mattress Insider that I had in my last RV. it was hit and miss if I woke up with a sore back.

I will go to home depot with my parts if no one here has this obscure answer: what is the bolt pattern for the front license plate bracket? I have both pieces but no bolts and I want to put it on.
