Driver's Door Hold Back Question

Hi All,

i am new to the forum but do enjoy all the knowledge and shared information. I have a 2011 Itasca Suncruiser. On the driver's entry door there is a strap that was apparently connected to something to stop the door from swinging open.

The strap was as shown in the pictures when I bought the unit and I have no idea where it should be secured to. If anyone could send a picture of what it should look like I would appreciate it...

Should be attached to the floor inside the door, at the edge of the carpet. Using the same chromed metal hoop as on the door.

You can ALMOST see the attachment in the attached image. Still looking for a better one....

....found the tie-down loop being called a "footman loop". Lots of hits when I google that. (As far as a way to find one.)

Thanks

I looked there and felt all along the carpet and I have nothing...we had new carpet installed when we bought it.... I think the carpet guy did not replace the hook. Does the hook look the same as the one on the door? Maybe I can find one to replace it?

Can you see the holes from underneath? I think I can in mine.

Right, same hook as the door. If you strike out, or find shipping one is crazy, I have a few. Too think for a $0.50 envelope, but I think a $1.00 one ought to work.

I would be glad to upload some photos to show you attachment points, but this site does not allow uploads - only asking for a URL reference. Why?? I have no idea how to create a URL for a photo.
