Damage to the Journey
OK. So I went on vacation the past few weeks. We drove to Key West and back to NY, total mileage was about 3,000. The Journey ran flawlessly thank goodness. All went super well. Then, when pulling into my driveway, I hit a tree! Ouch. I am so frustrated you have no IDEA. Here are the pics  
What do you think I am looking at in damages here? Its an 03 Winnebago Journey 36DL with full body paint. thanks.

Someone backend into my front bumper. Very little damage but they got a bill for $5500.00. Thought bill was outrageous but their insurance paid it. RV repair facilities seem to be very expensive.

Side marker light -- $8
Bondo -- $12
Paint-- $30
LABOR-- $4000
Good luck, maybe you can claim the tree jumped out in front of you? Or perhaps it grew while you were on the trip?

I think I am going to bring it to a regular body shop and see what they say. Also, the local Pocono Peterbilt where I get some of my maintenance done has a body shop, will probably check them out too.

Your best bet is locate a big truck collision repair center, unless you can locate someone who specifically does RV collision repair. None of that damage is too severe and most any good automotive body shop can take care of it, but many just don't have the space for a rig your size.

Thanks. Peterbilt has a truck body shop. I'm going to give them a try. It seriously does not look too bad. I also called Progressive and put a claim in. I will see what they say. I know some people are saying thousands but I just cant see it. How long to actually repair that hole, 5 hours?

I had similar damage on a previous coach. Someone in Mississippi decided a good place for a pipe bollard would be to camouflage it in some shrubs. I backed into what I thought was nice soft shrubs to position the coach to pull into a parking spot and hit the bollard. The bill was $1100.00 at my RV dealership.

Fiberglass/composite repair is somewhat of a specialty. Be sure the shop has experience with it. Ask Progressive about their lifetime warranty when done at approved shops.
If you have any other areas that need minor work and don't want to file a claim, you may be able to negotiate directly with the shop to add them to the job with you paying the shop directly. If these spots are the same color paint, you could get a better price since they already have the paints mixed.

Lost an awning to a freak rainstorm in Fresno earlier this year. Tube broke and the arms scratched the paint on a couple of bay doors.
Estimate for the awning and paint touch up is $4,400, and there's no bodywork at all, just the awning, install and paint touch up.

A couple of years ago I was "touched" by the mirror of a car traveling in the other direction. It left a small dent/scratch across on one compartment door and the louvers. Didn't look all that bad but it was $3000. They repaired and repainted the the entire compartment door and louver panel. Insurance covered most of the expense. The repair took about 4 days and was done at an RV sales shop.

If you are in the Fairless Hills Pa area check with Media Camping on Tyburn Rd ask for Wayne the Mgr. Find out who they use for body work. I had them do paint work for me at the body shop they deal with they did an excellent job. 1-877 GO CAMPING

WOW, go to a local body shop. I went to Farbe Haus here in Pahrump NV for a repair on the storage doors in the slide. I ordered the the new door and they replace it and painted the whole side (lower paint color) for $800 plus a little more work and I furnished the door ($500). Sounds a bit high to me.
