Creaky slide while underway - SOLVED
I have a 2019 Sunstar LX (35ft) with a 16ft slide on the driver's side. Lately is has been "creaking" for lack of a better word when the RV shifts from side to side while driving. (Uneven road, turning etc). I noticed that when retracted, the slide sits on several supports, metal, heavy duty, covered with a carpet material to protect the floor. I put an extra thin piece of carpet (about 1/8") under the existing carpet on the forward support, as this is where the noise was coming from. Brought the slide in and went for a test ride. Quiet as a mouse! I don't think this support was carrying the full weight of the slide while retracted and causing a bit of movement.
