We have a 2015 Tour 42qd with a build of 2014. Seems the difference in build date gives mine a 3 burner gas rang inside instead of indcution top. We prefer the gas. Also a 28 gallon built in propane tank instead of 5 gallon portable.
The controls on the '14 build are analog whereas the 15 has digital. I prefer analog.
As stated, check the slide model. Schwintec will have serpent type rails and Power Gear will have rack and pinion type rails. The Schwintec rails have been known to have problems. The control modules for both are the same controllers.
If you do decide to buy remember this on the slides. When opening or closing the slides keep the power button depressed for a minimum of 5 seconds or longer to allow the slide motors to sync. It's in the manual if you get the manual with the 14. Very important or the slides will go out of sync and can very well cause a problem.
We really like our 2015. Very roomy and comfortable. Like the TV location so at a lunch stop if you want you can watch a little tv without opening the slide.
Living room arrangement is better being at the front of the MH when walking in. If the Kitchen is there then guests have to sit in the rotated chairs and talk through the kitchen chatting with other folks.
The 2015 with my build of 2014 has two macerator toilets. I would have preferred one to have been pedal flush. The macerator toilet uses a lot of water when flushing. Our average has been 3 days,l then dump, whereas our previous MH we could go 6 or so days.
Good luck...happy trails.
