You either love or hate the J couch. We are among the lovers. We often have folks in and it gives us the seating we need. I can see where you would gain a lot of space and probable take a few pounds off the rig at the same time with going your way. Are you going to post pictures??

jerichirick, did you have to remove the chrome ends? I tried just putting the light in the end and had a small amount of light shining through. There's a small hole in the ends for what looks like an opening for the wires. I heated them with hot water and got a little movement, tried a heat gun also. I'm not a big fan of the "J" couch either, but it is what it is.

Raydar, did you get the handle light kit? It is a round plastic reflector with a led in the center. This should slide deep into the handle. If you would, please post pictures of your handle and the end fittings. The style could have changed from my model year.

jerichirick, I was able to upload to the pictures Class A folder as door assist handle. I don't know how to move it over so I can have it on the reply. There is 4 pictures, 2 of the kit an 2 of the handle ends.

Don't see the folder.

Look below on the reply screen. Scroll to "Additional Options" then "Manage Attachments". Now click on one of the 4 "Browse..." buttons and find one of your pictures. Click on it and it should populate the title box with the name of that picture. Simply follow the button logic. Once you have populated up to 4 pictures, one per "Browse..." you will then push "Upload" and wait. The "Browse..." will show empty when it completes and that is the only indicator you have of success. Post your message as usual at this time. (More pictures can be uploaded if you wish by using the same process.)

A side note. I just noted where you live. My daughter and her family live in Elkridge. Small world.

OK, I hope it worked? I don't know if it's me or the internet connection? That's interesting, we're about 5 miles from Elkridge. Do you visit often?

I am very interested in some of your items, particularly with regard to LED lighting and installing the light on the plastic handle outside. We had installed a motion sensor light for the outside light but it died after a few months.

Thanks Hardy, but I'm still trying to get it set up. The ata boy should go to jerichirick and the others that got it up and going. This is my first attempt at making changes like this.

Nice pictures.

Your lamp looks longer than I remember. The one I used I could get to go around to bend to the bottom of the acrylic handle. I'll try to get a picture of the lit handle tonight and post it for you. The light does fade toward the top.

Has anyone considered adding the Fisher-Paykel dishwasher under the cooktop like the Tour?

Overall measurements check out OK with some mod, but the dishwasher will be a few inches wider than the drawer above. Not sure how that would look.

We've owned our 04 Journey 39K for 10yrs now. It was completely stock when we found it. Honestly, over the years I have made so many modifications, improvements, repairs, et.. that some of them have been so long ago, that I forgot about them and now I tend to think it came that way. Must be the senility setting in. Now, where did I park it last?
